Trimley Red Devils FC receive a Grant to Purchase New Pitch Marking Machine
The Club was very pleased to receive a grant of £645.51 from the East Suffolk Council’s (ESC) Enabling Communities Budget (ECB), towards the cost of purchasing a new spray application line marking machine. This is being used for marking out all the match day pitches the Club has at the Stennetts Memorial Playing Field in Trimley St Mary, and Seaton Park, Felixstowe.
We are most grateful to Cllr Lee Reeves for supporting the Club’s ESC ECB Grant application to enable this equipment to be bought and the benefits it is providing for Club’s Teams.
The more effective Igo Mini Machine enables accurate and professionally looking pitch markings, and with less physical effort required compared to the Club’s previous contact type of marking machine it has replaced.
TRD FC have over 560 players registered across its Age Groups catering for young people (boys & girls) from 5 to 18 years, and its two adult players teams. The adult Teams play in the SIL (Suffolk & Ipswich League) Senior Division (First Team), and Division 3 (Reserves). The U8s to U18s Teams play in the SYFL (Suffolk Youth Football League) and the All Girls Team in the SGWFL (Suffolk Girls & Women’s Football League). The TRD FC First Team are the 2023-24 Suffolk County FA Senior Cup Winners.

TRD FC receive an ESC Grant
The Club was very grateful to receive a grant of £1,000 from the East Suffolk Council’s Enabling Communities Budget, towards the cost of installing new energy efficient heating and lighting in their Pavilion.
The more sustainable and cost-efficient LED lighting, and oil filled electric heaters, have been fitted in the “Social Area” where match day hospitality is provided for spectators, players, and match day officials.
The Pavilion “Social Area” is also used for Club management meetings, and on Tuesdays to Thursdays, by the Social Enterprise Roseberry Cottage Social Café.
